At the March WI meeting we will be starting a new
monthly competition. Members can take part by bringing along items
in a different specified category each month, to be announced at
each meeting for the following month’s competition, (also to be
included in the Newsletter together with the winners for the
previous month).
Every month, Peggy Denman will list names and entries to enable
these to be judged anonymously. Wherever possible, Speakers will be
asked to adjudicate. 1st place will receive 15 points; 2nd place
will receive 10 points and 3rd place 5 points. Each entrant will
receive a point.
Peggy will keep a register of the points awarded and the member with
the highest score at the end of the year will be awarded a prize at
the birthday dinner.
An example competition .. If the letter A was chosen, you could
bring in items such as, Abacus, Angel, Alka Seltzer, Aerosol,
Antimacassar, Almanac, Anniversary card, Aerial, etc.
The March competition will be items beginning
with the letter ‘B’.
