As part of
their successful baking series last year, The Hairy Bikers donned
their WI pinnies and went to Denman College to learn how to make the
perfect Victoria Sponge with members from the Abingdon WI. The boys are returning to BBC2 in early 2010 with a new six part series with the working title: “Mums Know Best”. In this 6 x 1 hour series, Simon King and Dave Myers will undertake a nationwide search for Britain’s lost recipes – those forgotten gems or secret scribbles handed down through the generations – to help create a massive online database of tasty and achievable recipes. |
| So this summer the Hairy
Bikers are looking for grannies, mums and daughters of all ages who
love to cook, and have a recipe with a fantastic family history, to
take part in their new series to be filmed all over Britain from
July – October 2009. If you have a great sense of humour, have an amazing story behind your family recipe and are willing to cook on national TV, they’d like to hear from you. To find out more please email hairybikers@bbc.co.uk or call 0121 567 6585. |

THE HAIRY BIKERS ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR FAMILIES WITH SOMETHING TO
CELEBRATE THIS SUMMER
Are you planning a special celebration between July and October? Do
you want the Hairy Bikers to cater for you?
This summer, Simon King and Dave Myers are touring the nation
looking for six families with a real reason to celebrate, so they
can help them create the perfect food for their special event.
Are you throwing a party for your son returning from Afghanistan; a
christening for a child whose first year was spent in hospital; a
golden wedding anniversary? If you have a great sense of humour and
are happy to celebrate your special occasion on national TV, we’d
like to hear from you.
