DANBURY EVE’S CORNER WI

Meetings held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in Danbury Village Hall at 8pm

We are situated approximately three miles east of Chelmsford.  Our  village W.I. is a very friendly and informal group of ladies from all walks of life and age groups.

This year we are celebrating our 40th Anniversary, which we hope to celebrate in style at our September meeting this year.

We have at present a membership of around 55 ladies, and organise a programme of fun and interesting events throughout the year, these include outings to places of interest, which always include ‘food’ !! somewhere in the schedule, organised walks, ten-pin bowling evenings, and a summer lunch event to raise money for our chosen charity, we also have a summer tea party for the senior citizens in our community. At our monthly meetings we organise someone to come along and give a talk or demonstration, we also have a monthly competition for all members to take part in, these are judged and a small gift given to whoever comes first on the night and at the end of the year we present our annual cup to the member with the most points gained throughout the year.

We have a small committee of ladies, who show their willingness to help and organise our meetings.  You will always be given a very warm welcome if you come along to our W.I. meetings.    The subscription fee is £29 per person for a year, which includes subscription to the Women’s Institute, plus the delivery of a national magazine each month.
