Hello and welcome to our web page, picture of Federation chairman

You will be assured of a warm and friendly welcome if you come to any of our WI meetings.  They are open to all women aged 16 and over and a visitors donation is charged per visit.  Should you actually wish to join as a member then the subscription is £27 (or £11.75 if you join a second WI).  You would be amazed to know the number of members who belong to more than one WI. The reason for this is that meetings are held either in the mornings, afternoons or evenings and sometimes it suits a member to belong to a day-time one as well as an evening one so that on a busy month she can be sure to get to one or the other!

When you join the local WI, you also become a member of the National Federation, opening up a whole new world of opportunities.  Payment of your subscription entitles you to receive a copy of WI Life.

The opportunities of joining the WI are enormous — you can do as little or as much as you like to suit yourself— it’s all there for the taking. It is a way of getting involved in the community and at the present time we are campaigning for the Government to reinstate the funding allocated to adult learning which has recently been withdrawn to the detriment of all non-vocational courses.  We shall continue to hold day classes at the WI Centre and are looking at providing some short courses.  Our own College, in Marcham Oxfordshire provides an annual brochure of all courses held there, and is available by phoning 01865-391991.Non-members are welcome but just have to pay a bit extra.

You need never be lonely if you join a WI and our monthly Newsletter keeps you fully informed of all the Federation activities that you will be entitled to attend.   If you can’t spare the time to be a full member, then why not become an Associate Member.  Click here for details.
